Maryellen Dougherty, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who received a doctorate in clinical psychology with specialty training in neuropsychology from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and completed a fellowship in pediatric rehabilitation psychology/neuropsychology at Michigan State University/Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI. Dr. Dougherty provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of known and suspected difficulties in cognitive functioning. In addition to performing diagnostic evaluations for ADHD, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities, Dr. Dougherty has expertise in providing targeted evaluations and recommendations for individuals with a history of recent or remote traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis/ADEM, stroke, encephalitis, and meningitis within the context of continued brain development. Dr. Dougherty collaborates with school and medical treatment teams and provides patient and family intervention regarding school and community reentry when indicated.
