Leafar Espinoza, Ph.D., MPH, ABPP, began his training in South Africa, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as a teaching diploma. He continued his graduate studies in the United States, earning an M.S. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology through Oklahoma State University and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. He rounded out his training with a Master of Public Health degree through the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Espinoza further specialized in his field by earning his board certification in Clinical Child and Adolescent psychology. He is fluent in Spanish and provides therapeutic services to families in both English and Spanish. He is an active reviewer for several journals, his clinical and research interests range from behavioral pediatrics to the practical application of evidence-based treatments in a clinical child/adolescent population, and he is a full-time psychologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Espinoza provides therapeutic services and conducts comprehensive evaluations.
