Dr. Battin is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Washington with nearly 20 years of experience providing therapeutic services to adults, children, and families. Over time, her focus has shifted toward comprehensive evaluations, which are now at the heart of her practice.
She specializes in ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, giftedness, and twice-exceptionality (2e) assessments. Dr. Battin works with children, adolescents, and adults, whether families are seeking understanding of a child’s learning and experiences or adults are looking for clarity and insight into their own.
Dr. Battin recognizes that many individuals and families can feel isolated or misunderstood, especially when needs are not easily seen or fully understood by others. She strives to offer a process where each person feels genuinely supported for who they are. Her intention is that the evaluation process not only provides answers but also nurtures self-awareness, acceptance, and a stronger sense of connection with oneself and with others. She is passionate about creating pathways for individuals to access the tools and strategies they need to thrive. She also has a special interest in offering integrative and alternative supports alongside traditional evidence-based resources so individuals and families can choose what feels most aligned with their needs and values.
Dr. Battin comes to this work as both a professional and a parent of neurodivergent children. Her perspective is further shaped by her own lived experience as a different kind of learner and thinker. This allows her to approach evaluations with empathy, nuance, and deep respect for each individual’s story. Outside of pouring her heart and soul into her children, she enjoys yoga, spending time in nature, trying new foods, traveling, and immersing herself in different cultures and traditions.
Please note: Dr. Battin is currently focused on providing evaluations and does not offer ongoing therapy services at this time.
