Chris Rebholz, Psy.D.

chrisrebholzpsyd@gmail.com

Dr. Rebholz is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in comprehensive assessment of people age 14 and older, including both teenagers and adults. She is trained to diagnose a wide variety of emotional and cognitive issues, including (but not limited to) autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, thought disorders and personality issues.

One of Dr. Rebholz’s particular specialties is evaluation of teenagers and adults for autism; there are many people who may not have been diagnosed either because they are particularly bright and not “obviously” on the spectrum, or (especially in the case of adults over age 30) because the issue was not widely known more than twenty years ago. Due to her background, she has unusual interest and knowledge of how to work with people who are significantly involved with technology, either as an end user or by employment. Dr. Rebholz earned an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Brown University and worked for approximately fifteen years in the computer industry. She then earned her doctorate in psychology from Antioch University. Her years in engineering honed her analytical abilities and contributed strongly to her decision to work in evaluation. Her doctoral dissertation examined workplace issues of adults with high-functioning autism.

The best way to reach Dr. Rebholz is via the above e-mail address; when she is evaluating a client, she devotes her full attention to the evaluee and does not answer the phone.

Dr. Rebholz also performs forensic evaluations for use in criminal and civil matters, including parenting evaluations. Please note:

  • Evaluations for legal matters (including disability evaluations) are not covered by medical insurance because they are not being done for medical purposes. This is true for all forensic evaluations, not just those with Dr. Rebholz.
  • If a parenting evaluation is needed, attorneys for both parents need to agree to have Dr. Rebholz perform the evaluation. In order to maintain transparency throughout the entire process, Dr. Rebholz will communicate with both attorneys via e-mail. All e-mailed communication will be copied to both clients’ lawyers. Dr. Rebholz uses the PETP protocol established at the University of Washington.
  • For all other civil and criminal expert witness evalutions, please have your attorney contact Dr. Rebholz rather than contacting Dr. Rebholz directly. This will allow the evaluation to be performed under client-attorney privilege.

Dr. Rebholz looks forward to working with you soon.
